On my Printer HP Deskjet 2742e, since the day I purchased it till today I have a still(Not blinking) orange light next to the i button. I do not have any visible error message. I use iOS(ipad) and a wifi connection for my printer. What does this mean and how can I fix it!? To my understanding this could be an error light.

Hi @Mariamtl,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing a Blinking light issue with your HP DeskJet 2742e Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
Update the printer firmware

If the issue persists, then please follow the steps mentioned in this document: HP DeskJet 2700, 4100, 4800 printers - Blinking lights and error codes
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello!
Sadly, your suggestions did NOT solve the ongoing issue. The printer information sheet that I printed from my pinter states the following as the ongoing issue, “The printer is NOT connected to the internet.
However, I’m able to print any document of my choice from the internet.
I’m using the Hp Smart App with an iPad. I only use an iPad with iOS when using my printer. How can I use AirPrint with my printer along with my iPad.
