Hi,
I recently purchased an HP Laser Jet M139we printer, while trying to set it up I came to find out this is an Online Only printer. It wasn't stated anywhere on the box so there was no way of knowing before purchase. The reference guide clearly states that you need to set it up through the app, you can use a USB cable after setting up for printing. But even if you have a USB cable connected, the printer NEEDS to be online to work. I know having everything online is where the times are heading towards to, but is nice to have analog options as well. Gone are the days of Plug-and-Play for no purpose beyond data mining. I live in an area where the Internet Connection is not always the best, so even after spending money on a printer and supplies, if I need to print something from my device but my connection is down, then the Printer is functionally an expensive plastic box. Is there anyway to circumvent this? or does the printer absolutely need to be online 100% of the time in order to work?
I'm a bit Disappointed.

@Gabo1
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
It is not mandatory for the Printer to be wirelessly connected.
