HP ENVY 6030 All-In-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

HI,  Initially the wireless icon light went out.  Tried to reconnect printer using my phone.  Purple light continued to pulse but not connecting.  Although I had the HP Smart installed on my phone and laptop, I kept getting a message that it wouldn't connect without the app.  I was able to print the information sheet which told me that the printer was not connected to the wireless network. Followed all instructions without any joy.  Now only the info icon is illuminated however it is only printing a blank sheet of paper. On HP smart it says expired in red writing beside the printer picture.

  • Does that mean the printer has expired or the support has expired?
  • I pay for instant ink so do I cancel subscription if printer isn't working?
  • Would I just be better off buying a new one?

Hope this makes sense!    Would be grateful for any advice.

Hi @Anniemcnair,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the info icon is lit up on your HP ENVY 6030 All-In-One Printer and you're unable to establish a wireless connection, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check wireless connection: Ensure that your printer is within range of your wireless network. Verify that the wireless network is functioning correctly by connecting other devices such as a laptop or smartphone to the network.
  • Restart printer and router: Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from both the printer and your wireless router. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug in the power cord and turn on both devices. Allow them to fully restart and establish a connection.
  • Verify wireless settings: On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings or network setup menu. Make sure that the printer is set to connect to the correct wireless network. Double-check the network name (SSID) and password, ensuring they are entered correctly.
  • Reset printer network settings: If the previous steps don't work, you can try resetting the printer's network settings. On the printer's control panel, go to the wireless settings or network setup menu. Look for an option to restore the network settings to the factory defaults. After the reset, you'll need to set up the wireless connection again.
  • Update printer firmware: Visit the HP support website and search for your printer model. Look for any available firmware updates for your printer and follow the instructions provided to update the firmware. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
  • Reinstall printer drivers: If the issue persists, try reinstalling the printer drivers on your computer. Visit the HP support website, locate the driver's section, and download the latest drivers for your printer model. Follow the installation instructions to reinstall the drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
