Common problems for Connectivity Issues

Try these steps:

Check Ink Levels and Cartridge Status:

  • Ensure that the Instant Ink cartridges are properly installed.
  • Check the ink levels through the HP Smart App or the printer control panel.

Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges:

  • Turn on the printer and open the door or lid to the cartridge access area.
  • Remove the ink cartridges and then reinsert them to ensure they are seated properly.
  • Close the cartridge access area.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can update it through the HP Smart App or by visiting the HP support website.
  • Do not turn off the printer during a firmware update as it can cause damage.

Check Printer Connection to the Internet:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to a functioning internet network.
  • Verify that the wireless light on the control panel is solid blue, indicating a stable connection.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a printer reset to restore factory default settings. This can sometimes resolve connectivity and operational issues.
