Note

Answers below are provided in the context of a supported HP printer connected to a standard network at a support frequency (connection speed), using a separate SSID named network in a Dual Band network.

You did not provide any detail to describe the printer model --

The printer model helps you decide whether the printer is a supported model.

Find the printer model - then open the printer's support home page.

Find Your Printer Name or Number | HP Printers | @HPSupport

OR

Find product and serial numbers for HP PCs, printers, and accessories

Never post the serial number or any private information in the Community – we are a public resource.

We do not know

  • What you have tried to fix what ever you believe is wrong,
  • The kind of network you have,
  • If Wireless, the wireless type (standard or Wi-Fi Direct)
  • If Wireless, the connection speed (5GHz / 2.4GHz)

OK.

All of the following depends on the printer being a supported model that is capable of running current / supported printer software, and connecting to a standard wired (Ethernet) or wireless network.

In general, many of the answers to the initial questions can be found in the printer's website support pages.

For example, the Specifications, Manuals, the various How-to documents that describe "how things work".

There is also a "Troubleshooting" category and sub-menus in that category to help you decide where to look for help.

Many situations can be helped using videos provided for the particular purpose.
