Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I print from a mobile device or laptop, I connect to my printer, enter the 8 digit password which was 12345678. Over the last two weeks, this pin number no longer works.  I dd not change, install, uninstall any software, add new devices, or do anything else that would have altered this l pin number. Searching for the printer's pin number using the printer's display has proven fruitless. If anyone has experience with finding or updating the printer's pin number, your assistance will be appreciated.

Frankly, I am surprised such a well known printer manufacturer would overlook documenting how to find or update the pin number. Searching the printer's Help provided detailed instructions on finding the password for a router's access point. Who, besides an intellectually stunted person, would use a printer's Help screens to look for help on their AP's password? Obviously the same type of person who felt it necessary to include such instructions for an HP printer.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
