Hi @GRACE1125 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-in-One Printer is failing to be added to your PC's "Printers & Scanners" queue, here are several steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer and PC Connection
- Ensure that the printer is powered on and properly connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC.
- If you're using a USB cable, make sure it's securely connected to both the printer and your PC.
2. Run the HP Smart App
- Download and install the HP Smart app from the HP printer setup (HP Smart app) (if you haven’t already).
- Open the app and try adding the printer from within the app. The HP Smart app simplifies the process of connecting the printer to your PC.
3. Manually Add the Printer
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add a Printer or Scanner and wait for your PC to detect the printer.
- If it appears, select the printer and click Add Device.
4. Run Windows Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional Troubleshooters.
- Select Printer and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix issues automatically.
5. Check Printer Drivers
- Ensure that the printer drivers are up to date.
- You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support Website.
6. Reset the Printing System
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Remove any existing instances of the printer from the list.
- Restart your PC and try adding the printer again.
7. Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily
- Sometimes, your firewall or antivirus software can block the connection between the printer and PC.
- Temporarily disable the firewall/antivirus and try to add the printer again.
8. Network Reset (if Wi-Fi connection)
- Reset the printer’s network settings:
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
- Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi and then try adding it to the PC again.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
