Hi @BARBIEG86,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To connect your HP printer to a new router and resolve the "Printer Offline" issue, follow these simple steps:

Check the Printer's Status:

  • Ensure the printer is powered on and there is paper in the tray.
  • If the printer's wireless light is blinking, it indicates that it is not connected to a network.

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • If you recently set up the printer, it may be in Wi-Fi setup mode. You can restore this mode by using the printer control panel to find the Wi-Fi setup option and follow on-screen prompts.
  • For specific instructions, you may refer to: Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer.

Using the Wireless Setup Wizard (for printers with a touchscreen):

  • On the printer control panel, open Setup, Network, or Wireless settings menu.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network name (SSID) and enter the Wi-Fi password.

Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on your printer until the wireless light starts flashing.
  • Within two minutes, press the WPS button on the router.
  • The wireless light on the printer will stop flashing once connected.

Printers Without a Touchscreen:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button for about five seconds or until the wireless light starts to flash.
  • Perform WPS setup on the router.

Test the Connection:

  • Once connected, try printing a self-test report to ensure the printer is working properly.
  • Ensure the printer appears as the default printer on your computer's list of devices.

Troubleshooting:

  • Move the printer closer to the router if the signal is weak.
  • Restart the printer and your computer to clear possible error conditions.
  • Print a Wireless Test Report from the printer’s manual or support page to diagnose further issues.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
