@suzeeeq3, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your printer says it is connected but won't print from your computer while it prints from your phone, there may be several causes for this issue. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot:

Restart Devices

  • Turn off your printer and your computer, wait for 30 seconds, and turn them back on.

Check Printer Connection

  • Make sure the printer is properly connected to the computer (via Wi-Fi or USB). If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

Update Printer Drivers

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

Check Printer Settings

  • Verify that the printer is set as the default printer in your computer settings.
    1. Go to Control Panel -> Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click on your printer and select Set as default printer.

Clear Print Queue

  • Sometimes, clearing the print queue can resolve issues.
    1. Open Printers & Scanners in your computer settings.
    2. Click on your printer and then click Open queue.
    3. Cancel all pending print jobs.

Check Network Issues

  • Ensure there are no network issues preventing your computer from communicating with the printer. Restart your router if necessary.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
