Hi @Paddymelt,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We're sorry to hear about the frustration, and we’re here to help. Since you’ve changed your Wi-Fi password, your HP LaserJet MFP M234dwe printer needs to be reconnected to the network using the new credentials. Here's how to update the Wi-Fi settings:

Option 1: Using HP Smart App (Recommended)

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your Mac (HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store).
  2. If your printer is not listed, click “Add Printer” and follow the prompts.
  3. Put the printer into Wi-Fi setup mode:
    • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the back of the printer for at least 3 seconds until the Wi-Fi light blinks.
  4. Return to the HP Smart app and follow the steps to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi using the new password.

Option 2: Reset Network Settings

  1. On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi button for about 3–5 seconds to restore network defaults.
  2. Open HP Smart and re-add the printer, connecting it to the new network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
