HP Envy photo 7855 I have 4x6 photo paper loaded but printer thinks it’s 5x7

Welcome to the HP User Community.

The printer must be told what paper size & type is loaded in the tray.

You did not include an Operating System - perhaps you are printing using HP Smart Mobile.

Using HP Smart Mobile :

You need to change the paper size & type before you open the content to be printed.

What?

HP Smart Mobile > Print setup can "see" the paper but cannot change the paper during the print submission process.

Load the paper according to the instructions in the   User Guide

Starting on Page 18

Next,

Paper already / previously loaded?

Open Tray > wait three seconds (so so > Close tray

Next,

Use Printer display or EWS to update the paper size / type information
