Hi @Jojo209 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Envy 4527 is having trouble printing from web-based applications or documents, even though it's connected to the internet and printing from local applications like Word is working fine.
Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check Printer Settings
- Set as Default Printer: Ensure that the HP Envy 4527 is set as the default printer. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select your printer, and click Manage to set it as the default.
- Print Queue: Check if there are any stalled print jobs in the queue. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select your printer, and click Open queue. Clear any pending jobs.
2. Update Printer Drivers
- HP Support Website: Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP Envy 4527.
- Device Manager: Open Device Manager, find your printer under Printers, right-click on it, and choose Update driver.
3. Check Browser Settings
- Default Printer in Browser: Some browsers have their own print settings. Make sure your printer is selected correctly in the print dialog when printing from the browser.
- Browser Cache: Clear the browser cache. Sometimes, outdated cache can cause printing issues. For most browsers, this can be done from the settings or preferences menu.
4. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. It can help diagnose and resolve common printing issues.
5. Check Network Settings
- Network Connection: Verify that your printer is connected to the same network as your computer. You can check the printer’s network settings from its control panel or web interface.
- Firewall/Security Software: Sometimes, firewall or security software can block print jobs. Check your firewall settings to ensure that it’s not blocking your printer.
6. Reset Printer
- Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Network Reset: If the issue persists, consider resetting the network settings on your printer and reconnecting it to your WiFi network.
7. Check Print Services
- Windows Print Spooler: Restart the Windows Print Spooler service. Press Win + R, type services.msc, find Print Spooler in the list, right-click on it, and select Restart.
