Hi
I have an HP Envy Inspire 7900e and am going round in circles trying to set up “Print anywhere”.
There is no option on my HP Smart dashboard (using an iPhone 16 pro max).
I thought I sent files to a dedicated email address, but have no idea how to find this.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

@fred888855, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Print anywhere problem!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
To set up Print Anywhere with your HP Envy Inspire 7900e printer using the HP Smart app, follow these steps:
Setup your printer in the HP Smart app:
- Ensure your HP Envy Inspire 7900e printer is set up within the HP Smart app and that you have an HP account. If not, you can follow the setup instructions available on HP+ printer setup (HP Smart app).
Enable Print Anywhere:
- Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone.
- Tap the Account icon or the icon with your initials.
- Sign in to your HP account if prompted.
- In the Account Dashboard, click on “Solutions”.
- Click on “Print Anywhere”.
- Under “My Printers”, ensure that “Allow printing from anywhere” is enabled.
- Optionally, enable “Require Private Pickup” to hold jobs for later release when someone is near the printer.
Send Print Jobs:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Select “Print Documents” or “Print Photos” to choose and open the file you want to print.
- For non-PDF documents, ensure they are saved as PDFs first.
- On your iPhone, from the print preview, tap “Print”, change any desired print settings, and tap the Print icon.
For printing via email, the traditional email-to-print function might not align with the newer HP Smart functionalities, so it’s best to use the HP Smart app for remote print jobs.
Hope this helps
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Thanks for getting back to us @fred888855.
And no worries, this can definitely be a bit tricky at first! 😊
@zoey7886 is away at the moment. I will be assisting you with this issue.
It looks like the “Solutions” tab might not be visible in some versions of the HP Smart app, depending on app updates or region settings. But don’t worry—we’ll get you sorted! Let’s try this alternate route to enable Print Anywhere on your iPhone 16 Pro Max:
Step-by-step: Enable Print Anywhere from the HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone.
- Tap the Account icon (either your initials or a person icon) in the top right corner.
- If you're not signed in, sign in using your HP account (same one used when setting up your printer).
- Once signed in, scroll down and look for "Your printers".
- Tap your HP Envy Inspire 7900e printer.
- Look for a toggle or option that says “Print Anywhere” or “Allow printing from anywhere” — and switch it on.
⚠️ If you don’t see the option there either, try this:
- Tap on your printer’s image on the main screen of the HP Smart app.
- Look for a section called “Printer Settings”, “Advanced Settings”, or something similar.
- From there, you may find Remote Printing / Print Anywhere listed.
About the Printer's Email Address (HP ePrint)
You mentioned sending documents to a printer email address — that sounds like HP ePrint, which is different from “Print Anywhere”.
To find or manage your printer’s email address:
- In the HP Smart app, tap the printer image.
- Look for “Printer Information” or “Web Services”.
- If Web Services is enabled, you should see the email address listed.
If not, tap to enable Web Services, and it will assign a new email address to your printer.
I hope this helps!
If my response resolves your issue, please click “Accepted Solution” to help others find the answer. Also, don’t forget to click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up” button to say thanks!
