Hello, I’ve purchased the T-Mobile 5G Wi-Fi home Internet to save money from my previous Verizon services. For some reason, I am unable to print documents with this Internet. It looks like the printer communicates with the Wi-Fi because I get the error to optimize and print, and it shows confirmation of my print job, but when I go to print, nothing comes out. Has anyone had any issues with the same?
I have an HP Envy 6000 printer

@Lghafur, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you're experiencing issues printing with your HP Envy 6000 series printer after switching to T-Mobile 5G Home Internet. It’s great that the printer connects to Wi-Fi and receives the print job, but let’s work through why it’s not completing the print.
Restart Devices
- Power off your printer, computer/phone, and T-Mobile 5G gateway.
- Wait 30 seconds, then power them back on in this order: gateway → printer → device.
Check Printer Connection
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.
- On the printer, press the Information button (i) to print a Network Configuration Page.
- Confirm the printer has a valid IP address (e.g., 192.168.x.x).
Use HP Smart App
- Download or open the HP Smart app.
- Add your printer and check for any alerts or firmware updates.
- Try printing a test page from the app.
Disable Private Wi-Fi Address (iOS/Android)
- On your phone, go to Wi-Fi settings.
- Tap the info icon next to your Wi-Fi network.
- Turn off Private Wi-Fi Address and reconnect.
Assign a Static IP (Optional)
Sometimes 5G routers have trouble with dynamic IPs. You can assign a static IP to your printer:
- Access your printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) by typing its IP address into a browser.
- Go to Network > Wireless > IPv4 Configuration and set a manual IP.
Reset Print System (Mac) or Reinstall Printer (Windows)
- Mac: Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners, right-click your printer, and choose Reset printing system.
- Windows: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, remove the printer, then reinstall it using the HP Smart app.
Firmware Update
- Visit the HP Software & Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your printer model (e.g., HP Envy 6000) and install the latest firmware.
