I have a new router and am trying to connect the HP LaserJet 200 colorMFP M276nw to the network. The router is a BGW320-500 from ATT (fiber). The printer finds the SSID and I enter the password to the network, which I have successfully used in all other devices in my home with no issues. I know with 100% certainty that the password was entered correctly. I get the error “Invalid WPA passphrase”. I have reset the router and reset the printer to default settings, many times. I always have the same issue. I have seen many people with the same issue, but have never seen a definitive solution to this problem. I have successfully used this printer in the past with a different router, so I know it can work. Can someone please help?

Hi @RobGee
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If you're encountering an "Invalid WPA passphrase" error while trying to connect your HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw to a new network, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Verify Network Details
Double-Check the SSID and Password:
- Ensure that the SSID selected by the printer matches the one broadcasted by your new router.
- Re-enter the network password carefully, ensuring no typographical errors. Remember, the password is case-sensitive.
Router Settings:
- Log into your router settings and confirm the network’s WPA/WPA2 security settings.
- If your network is set up for dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), ensure you are connecting to the correct band compatible with your printer.
Step 2: Reset Network Settings on the Printer
Restore Network Defaults:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Network Setup or Wireless Settings menu.
- Select Restore Network Defaults to clear any previous network settings.
Reattempt Connection:
- After resetting, attempt to connect to the network again.
Step 3: Update Printer Firmware
- Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date, as updates can resolve connectivity issues.
- You can download firmware updates from the HP Support website.
Step 4: Additional Network Troubleshooting
Router Configuration:
- Ensure the router’s firmware is up to date.
- Disable any MAC address filtering temporarily that might prevent the printer from connecting.
Network Environment:
- Place the printer within range of the wireless signal to ensure a strong connection.
- Minimize interference from other wireless devices.
Step 5: Manual IP Address Configuration
- If your network uses static IP addresses, ensure the printer is configured with the correct IP details.
