I'm trying to connect my printer to a new internet service and nothing works.

I understand how frustrating this can be when you just want your printer back online. Let’s go step by step to connect your HP printer to your new internet service:

Step 1: Reset Printer’s Network Settings

  • On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button (or go to Network Settings in the menu) for about 5 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking.
  • This puts the printer in Wi-Fi setup mode.

 

Step 2: Use the HP App

  1. Download the HP app on your phone or computer: 
  2. Open the app and tap Add Printer.
  3. The app will detect your printer in setup mode.
  4. Select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  5. Wait for confirmation that the printer is connected.

 

Step 3: Alternative WPS Method (if your router supports WPS)

  • Press the Wireless button on the printer until the light blinks.
  • Press the WPS button on your router within 2 minutes.
  • The printer will connect automatically.

 

Step 4: Confirm Connection

Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer’s menu or HP app to verify the new network
