Two days ago my printer was working fine. The network configuration is: The printer is connected to my WiFi router via WiFi, my computer is connected to the WiFi router with an ethernet cable. This computer does NOT have a WiFi radio in it.
This morning, the printer no longer works.
the "HP Networking Configuration Page" shows the 802.11 Wireless connection as off, with this message:
"You cannot use the device's wireless function because it has been disabled. For more information, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the device."
I am both of those people, and I did nothing to disable WiFi.
The printer now will only speak to a direct ethernet connection, a USB port, or a "WiFi Direct" connection, none of these connection methods will let me speak from my computer to the printer.
I don't know how or why my connection to my WiFi router was disabled, but I need to know how to re-enable it.

HP was apparently really busy and unable to get back to me to provide support, but by spending pretty much an entire day spread over a few days, I was finally able to re-enable the WiFi. Leaving the steps here in case anyone else runs into this problem:
Here are the steps:
- "Remove" non working version of print from my Printer List
- Pick up the printer and move it somewhere I can connect it with a wire.
- While wired. install HP Smart app, use to to add the printer
- Run the HP Smart App / Printer Settings / Advanced / Network / Wireless 802.11
- Enable and connect to WiFi
- Exit the App
- Remove the Printer
- Unplug the Ethernet and move it back to where it belongs
- Turn it on, Run HP Smart App and Add Printer again
