Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer suddenly didn´t connect to the WIFI anymore.

So here is what I tried:

checked SSID, WIFI channels in the house, distance, the network itself is set-up to accept new devices, phones and laptops do connect with the WIFI, it seems to only bother printers, the HP print and scan doctor keeps interrupting and just being set back, settings were set back in router and printer, both switched on/off.

The report shows MAC filtering might be active but I checked it in the router settings and mac filtering is switched off. Then I thought drivers might be outdated because the printer is a little older but then I tried connecting with a brand-new printer and same issue occurs "WIFI connection can not be established". Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

@sabs85, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are trying to connect the printer and the PC wirelessly. Let us try these steps:

Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the MAC

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks Kumar! No one suggested to give different names for the networks so far, intersting try for next time.

I had followed all other steps you mentioned before. Resetting, shut down, restart... And nothing happened. Then I did reset the router a 2nd time and then it worked! No idea why it took a 2nd run but it worked.

Thanks a lot for your help!
