Hi @AKLAUD,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Wireless Light:

  • Ensure the blue light near the printer's wireless button is turned on. This confirms that the printer's wireless capabilities are active.

Restart Network Devices:

  • Turn off the router and the printer. After a few minutes, turn them back on in the following order: router first, then the printer. This can often resolve network communication issues.

Print Wireless Network Test:

  • Run the Wireless Network Test again. To do this, navigate the printer’s display: go to Network > Wireless > Wireless Network Test. The printed test report will include recommendations that might help solve the problem.

If basic troubleshooting doesn't resolve the issue, you can try the following steps:

Ensure Your Computer is Connected to the Network:

  • Make sure your computer is connected to the same network as your printer. Check the network status on your computer to confirm it is connected.

Verify Printer Connection to Network:

  • Print the printer's Wireless Configuration page from the printer display. Ensure the Network Status on the page shows as "Ready." If it shows "Offline," follow the recommendations on the Wireless Network Test report.

Firewall and Security Software:

  • Temporary disable any firewall security software running on your computer and check if this resolves the issue. Firewalls can sometimes block communication between your computer and printer.
  • If you can use your printer with the firewall turned off, you will need to reconfigure your firewall settings to allow the printer communication over the network.

Check Printer's Status from your Computer:

  • On Windows:
    1. Click Start > Control Panel > Printers or Printers and Faxes.
    2. Ensure the printer is set to "Use Printer Online".
    3. If the printer is paused, click "Resume Printing".
  • On Mac OS X:
    1. Click System Preferences > Print & Fax.
    2. Select the printer and click Print Queue.
    3. If Jobs Stopped appears, click Start Jobs.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
