My printer became disconnected from my wifi. I just bought it last year in October, but apparently my warranty has already expired. So I went through every suggested fix, restarting the modem, etc., and lastly I tried returning it to factory settings. The wifi icon cycled, but that still didn't fix it. The wifi button is still flashing. What should I do next?

@Melinda_McC, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wireless Network Issues for HP Printers!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
When your printer is unable to connect to Wi-Fi, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Verify Wireless Status: Ensure that the wireless (802.11) light at the top left of the front panel is turned on. If it's not lit, you need to enable the printer's wireless capabilities.
Enable Wireless Connection:
- Tap the wireless icon on the printer's control panel.
- Navigate to Settings > Wireless > On to ensure that wireless is enabled.
Check Network Connections:
- Ensure that no Ethernet cable is connected to the printer, as connecting a cable may disable Wi-Fi capabilities.
Restart Network Devices:
- Turn off the router and the printer. Turn them back on in this order: router first and then the printer. If you still are unable to connect, power cycle both the router and printer, and consider restarting your computer.
Wireless Network Test:
- Run the Wireless Network Test from your printer's control panel.
- Tap the wireless icon, then Settings > Print Wireless Network Test. The test page will provide recommendations if there's a problem detected.
Advanced Troubleshooting:
- Ensure your computer's wireless networking is on.
- Confirm that your computer is connected to your network rather than a nearby network with a similar name (SSID).
Firewall Settings:
- Temporarily disable any firewall security software on your computer to check if it is causing communication issues.
- If disabling the firewall allows access to the printer, reconfigure the firewall to allow communication between your printer and computer over the network.
Check Printer Status:
- Use the HP software installed on your computer to check if the printer is paused or offline.
- On Windows, navigate to Control Panel > Printers, right-click the printer icon, and ensure it's set to “Use Printer Online” or “Resume Printing.”
- On Mac OS X, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
