You have to find a way to get Web Services to accept that the printer is connected to the Internet.

There are two types of connection:

  • Printer connected to your network
  • Printer connected to the Internet using Web Services

The printer does not accept (believe) that it is connected to the Internet and you think the printer is connected to the Internet and that Web Services are working as expected.

The only solution is to get the printer to accept what you believe to be true.

This means treating the situation as if the problem is real -- the printer must be connected to the Internet to clear the error.

The following includes video and document help.

For example,

Printers subscribed to an Instant Ink subscription must be connected to the Internet so the printer can notify Instant Ink when service or attention is required.

Video  Cannot connect to Web Services

Document  My printer is not connected to the internet

Other services that require the printer to be connected to the Internet include having enabled the printer for HP+ and any Cloud based services.

-- Reminder --

Wireless capability
Yes, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, 2.4 GHz and 5GHz dual band

The printer supports either 2.4GHz or 5GHz but not at the same time.
