Product: Officejet 6500A plus
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have an Officejet 6500A plus and Mac OS 11 Big Sur. I have always had it wireless and I tried to used the wired part today and it said it was malware. I went through all the steps of deleting everything and reinstall it all. The HP Smart App can recognize my printer but still says it's not installed. I redownloaded the software and don't know what to do. My printer and laptop are both connected to my internet but the printer in the Smart App keeps saying its offline. I hate how there is a battle of virtual assistants and can not find anywhere to talk to a real tech expert.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to print from your Mac computer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you uninstall the HP Smart app from your computer and then follow the steps in the below article.
