I can’t seem to reconnect my HP DeskJet 4155e to my home WiFi network. I’ve followed all the instructions for this model. It’s registered and has worked in the past without any issue. Anyone else have experienced this issue with a solution?

Hi @34firefighter,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Try these HP steps for reconnecting your printer to your home wireless network:

Check basics first:

  • Make sure the printer is on and awake.

  • Confirm your computer/phone and printer are on the same Wi‑Fi network.

  • Move the printer closer to the router if the signal is weak.

  • Restart the printer and your router.

Restore Wi‑Fi setup mode:

  • HP says that when setup fails or the printer is no longer discoverable, you may need to restore Wi‑Fi setup mode and set it up again in the HP app.

  • Also, enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so the HP app can find the printer during setup.

Use WPS for reconnection:

  • For printers without a touchscreen, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds until the wireless light flashes.

  • Within 2 minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the router until the connection starts.

  • The wireless light stops flashing when the connection completes.

If still not connecting:

  • Check whether wireless isolation is enabled on the router.

  • Print a Wireless Test Report from your printer support instructions to evaluate connection status.

  • Use the HP app to re-add the printer and complete wireless setup.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
