Hardwiring the connection between the printer and the mac did not work for me... but I successfully printed from my iphone.  So it seems to be related to ios on the mac.

Hi Elohi_NR:

 

I am in the exact same situation as Tony Gard.  Printer was working fine for years, and now suddenly it keeps setting itself to "pause" when I send a print job.  3 other mac users in my family are suddenly having the same issue.  It doesn't throw any errors, just keeps flipping to pause on a job.  Prior to this issue, we haven't done any recent OS or printer updates.  Since this issue, I have done all the updates you suggest, still is not working.  Any additional ideas?
