Hi @MB21-
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your printer is stuck in offline mode, but don’t worry—we can get it back online! Here are some steps to fix it:
Restart Everything
- Turn off your printer, computer, and Wi-Fi router.
- Wait 60 seconds, then turn them back on.
Check Printer Connection
- If using Wi-Fi, make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- If using USB, unplug and reconnect the cable.
Set Printer to Online Mode
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select See what’s printing.
- Click Printer in the top menu and uncheck Use Printer Offline.
Run HP’s Troubleshooting Tools
- HP has an official Print and Scan Doctor tool that can fix offline issues.
- Download it here and follow the steps.
Update Printer Drivers
- Open Device Manager > Printers, right-click your printer, and select Update driver.
Check HP’s Support Guide
- HP has a detailed troubleshooting page for offline printers here.
If the issue persists, let me know what steps you’ve tried, and I’ll help further!
