Hi @OHEPRODUCTS,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience you've faced while trying to connect your HP LaserJet Tank MFP 1005w printer to your laptop via Wi-Fi, and for the difficulty you experienced reaching us through the customer helpline. We appreciate your patience and are committed to resolving your issue promptly.
1. Check Printer's Wi-Fi Status
- Ensure your printer is powered on.
- Press and hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking.
- This puts the printer in Wi-Fi setup mode.
2. Use HP Smart App (Recommended)
- On your laptop, download and open the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store or the HP Smart Website.
- Click “Set up a new printer” and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Ensure your laptop is on the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to connect to.
3. Use HP Easy Start (Alternative Method)
- Visit: HP LaserJet Tank MFP 1005 Printer series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
- Download HP Easy Start and run it.
- It will guide you through connecting your printer to Wi-Fi.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
