@Jilly634, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand your HP printer isn’t copying or printing even after adding paper, and there’s no error message. Let’s walk through some steps to get your printer working again.
Check Paper Tray and Alignment
- Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray.
- The stack should be aligned and not overfilled.
- Remove and reload the paper to ensure it’s seated properly.
Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and power it on.
Check for Paper Jam or Obstructions
- Open all access doors and trays.
- Look for any jammed paper or foreign objects.
- Remove any debris carefully.
Run Printer Diagnostics
- If your printer has a touchscreen, go to Settings > Tools > Printer Status Report or Print Quality Report.
- This can help identify internal issues.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your printer model and download the latest drivers for your operating system.
- Install the drivers and restart your computer and printer.
Try Copying Directly
- Place a document on the scanner glass.
- Press the Copy button on the printer.
- If it doesn’t respond, the issue may be hardware-related.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
