Hi @Manishabasra, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "Check the Proxy Connection" error on your HP Envy 4520 printer usually means that the printer is having trouble connecting to the internet or your network. Try these troubleshooting steps:

Restart Everything

  1. Power cycle your printer – Turn it off, unplug it for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  2. Restart your router – Unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
  3. Restart your computer or phone – If printing from a device, restart it.

Check Printer’s Wi-Fi Connection

  1. On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Network Setup > Wireless Settings.
  2. Select Wireless Setup Wizard and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer’s settings to confirm the connection.

Disable Proxy Settings

If your printer is connected to a network but still showing a proxy error:

  1. Go to Setup > Network Setup > Advanced Settings.
  2. Look for Proxy Settings and disable it.

Reinstall the Printer Drivers

For Windows:

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP Envy 4520 and select Remove device.
  • Download and install the latest drivers from the HP website.

For Mac:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Remove the printer and re-add it.

Print Using HP Smart App

  1. Download and install HP Smart from the Microsoft Store, Mac App Store, or Google Play Store.
  2. Add your printer and try printing from the app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
