Hi @SueBurns,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

Have you made any changes to your printer software or router?

The "printer is busy" error and the "not connected to the internet" issue with your HP DeskJet 2752e could be due to several reasons such as network connectivity problems, print queue issues, or printer software glitches. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve these problems:

Steps to Resolve "Printer is Busy" and "Not Connected to the Internet" Issues

Restart Printer and Devices

  • Turn off your HP DeskJet 2752e printer and unplug it from the power source for about 1 minute.
  • Restart your computer or device from which you are printing.
  • Reconnect the printer to the power source and turn it back on.

Check Printer and Network Connection

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network:
    • On the printer, press the Wireless button to view the status.
    • If the wireless light is blinking, it means the printer is not connected to the network.
    • Use the Wireless Setup Wizard (usually found under the Wireless or Settings menu) to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Use the HP Smart App for Reconnection

  • Open the HP Smart App on your device.
  • Ensure your device is connected to the same network as the printer.
  • Follow the app's prompts to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network if it is listed as not connected.

Clear the Print Queue

  • Clear any stuck print jobs that may cause the "printer is busy" error:
  • On Windows:
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click on your HP DeskJet 2752e and select See what's printing.
    • Right-click on each document and select Cancel to clear the print queue.
  • On macOS:
    • Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select your HP DeskJet 2752e and click Open Print Queue.
    • Cancel any pending print jobs.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool (Windows Only)

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hi @SueBurns,

Please find the remaining steps below.

Update Printer Firmware and Drivers

  • Make sure the printer firmware and drivers are up to date:
    • Visit the HP Support website.
    • Enter your printer model and download the latest firmware and drivers.
  • Install them on your computer following the provided instructions.

Reset Network Settings on the Printer

  • If the printer is still having trouble connecting to the internet:
    • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer simultaneously for 3 seconds. This will restore the printer’s network settings to default.
  • Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the Wireless Setup Wizard.

Check Router and Internet Connection

  • Restart your router by unplugging it from the power source, waiting for 30 seconds, and plugging it back in.
  • Ensure your router is working properly and providing a stable internet connection.

Additional Tips

  • Ensure the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • Check for any software updates on the HP Smart App.
  • Avoid using VPNs or proxies that might interfere with printer communication.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the "printer is busy" and "not connected to the internet" issues with your HP DeskJet 2752e. If you continue to face problems, consider resetting the printer to factory settings.

I will share the factory reset steps in the next post.

Hi @SueBurns,

To perform a factory reset on your HP DeskJet 2752e All-in-One Printer, follow these steps to restore it to its default settings:

Steps to Factory Reset HP DeskJet 2752e

Turn On the Printer

  • Ensure that the printer is powered on. If not, press the Power button to turn it on.

Reset the Printer's Network Settings

  • Press and hold the Wireless button (or Wi-Fi button) and the Cancel button at the same time for about 3 seconds.
  • The Wireless light will start blinking, indicating that the printer's network settings have been reset to default.

Perform a Full Factory Reset

  • Disconnect the printer's power cable from the back of the printer without turning it off.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Press and hold the Power button on the printer while reconnecting the power cable.
  • Continue holding the Power button until the printer begins to reset (it may take around 15-20 seconds).
  • Release the Power button once the reset process begins. The printer will restart and be reset to its factory defaults.

Note:

  • Factory reset will remove all custom settings, including your Wi-Fi network settings, and will restore the printer to its original state. You will need to set up the printer again, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.

After the reset, use the HP Smart App or printer software to reconnect your printer to your network and configure your desired settings.

You may also refer to this document if the internet is lost.

If this also does not resolve the issue, you may have to contact phone support for service options.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
