Hi @EASY27,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are experiencing an issue where your printer is not starting, or a message indicates an unsupported action. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve this:

Check Cable Connections:

  • Ensure that all cables (USB or network) are securely connected between the printer and the computer.
  • If using a USB cable, consider checking or replacing it to ensure it is not defective.

Printer Power and Status:

  • Make sure the printer is turned on and has no error lights or status messages displayed.
  • Check if there is paper loaded in the tray and if there are no paper jams.

Printer Drivers and Settings:

  • Verify that the correct printer driver is installed on your computer.
  • Reinstall the printer software/drivers if necessary.
  • Check the printer settings in your computer’s control panel to ensure the print job is being sent to the correct printer and port.

Printer Queue and Job Status:

  • Open the printer queue on your computer to check if the job is pending or stuck in the queue.
  • Cancel any pending jobs and try printing again.

Operating System Compatibility:

  • Verify that your printer is compatible with your operating system version.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
