Hi @ArunSyal,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having a persistent issue with your HP Smart Tank 670 losing its Wi-Fi connection after every restart and struggling with a firmware update. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.

Check Network Stability

  • Ensure a stable network connection: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is stable and other devices are connected without issues.
  • Move the printer closer to your router: This can help if the Wi-Fi signal is weak.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Manual Firmware Update:
    1. Download the Latest Firmware:
      • Go to the HP Support website and search for the Smart Tank 670.
      • Download the latest firmware available for your model.
    2. Update via USB:
      • If you have a USB cable, connect the printer to your computer.
      • Use the downloaded firmware file to update the printer.
  • If Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting:
    • Try performing the firmware update when the printer is connected via Ethernet or USB, as this can sometimes bypass Wi-Fi issues.

Reset Network Settings

  1. Factory Reset Network Settings:
    • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings.
    • Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Reconfigure Wi-Fi

  • Re-Add Printer to Network:
    1. On your printer, go to Setup > Network Setup > Wireless Setup Wizard.
    2. Follow the prompts to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Check for Interference:
    • Ensure there are no devices or appliances near the printer that might cause interference with the Wi-Fi signal.

Printer and Router Reboot

  • Power Cycle:
    1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    2. Turn off your router and unplug it.
    3. Wait for a few minutes, then plug the router back in and turn it on.
    4. Plug the printer back in and turn it on. Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

Check HP Smart App

  • Update the HP Smart App:
    • Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your device.
    • Use the app to set up and manage your printer, which might help resolve connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
