Hi @mafiso,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Here are some potential causes and troubleshooting steps:

Paper Feed Issue

  • Check if the paper is loaded correctly in the tray.
  • Ensure the paper stack is aligned properly and not bent or curled.
  • Remove any jammed paper inside the printer.

Dirty or Stuck Rollers

  • Open the printer and clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Let the rollers dry completely before using the printer again.

Carriage Obstruction

  • Turn off the printer and open the cartridge access door.
  • Check if anything (like torn paper or dust) is blocking the printhead carriage.
  • Gently move the carriage from side to side to ensure it moves smoothly.

Low Ink Levels

  • If the ink levels are low, the printer may make noises while trying to print.
  • Refill the ink tanks if necessary.

Loose Parts or Misalignment

  • Ensure that all covers and trays are properly closed.
  • Check if the ink cartridges or printhead are securely installed.

Firmware/Software Issue

  • Update the printer firmware through HP Smart App or HP Support website.
  • Restart the printer and run a test print.

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait 2-3 minutes.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue is resolved.
