Hi @mafiso,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Here are some potential causes and troubleshooting steps:
Paper Feed Issue
- Check if the paper is loaded correctly in the tray.
- Ensure the paper stack is aligned properly and not bent or curled.
- Remove any jammed paper inside the printer.
Dirty or Stuck Rollers
- Open the printer and clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Let the rollers dry completely before using the printer again.
Carriage Obstruction
- Turn off the printer and open the cartridge access door.
- Check if anything (like torn paper or dust) is blocking the printhead carriage.
- Gently move the carriage from side to side to ensure it moves smoothly.
Low Ink Levels
- If the ink levels are low, the printer may make noises while trying to print.
- Refill the ink tanks if necessary.
Loose Parts or Misalignment
- Ensure that all covers and trays are properly closed.
- Check if the ink cartridges or printhead are securely installed.
Firmware/Software Issue
- Update the printer firmware through HP Smart App or HP Support website.
- Restart the printer and run a test print.
Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait 2-3 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue is resolved.
