Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This printer has been working fine for the last 18 months hooked to an ethernet switch on the LAN. Today it stopped working and after quite a lot of troubleshooting including rebooting the printer and router, I have removed the cable and connected wirelessly. That works fine. I did switch ethernet cables and the light on the switch lights up when I connect to the printer. The ip address has stayed the same on the wireless connection.  I have not factory reset the printer and after all the problems this evening am happy enough to work with the wireless connection. The printer is about 3 feet from the router so excellent wireless connection. It does not look like the printer will connect to the 5G channel.

The printer can only connect to 2,4G wireless band, if you connect it to a working wired connection and the printer network port is working the wi-fi is turned OFF automatically.

The wireless connects. It is the ethernet wired connection that stopped working--just shows the printer is offline. I I turn off the wireless option and connect the ethernet cable the green light is on the ethernet port.

Print a network configuration page maybe the IP address is changed. Log on to your router check hopefully there should be a list of connected devices check is printer on the list when connected with a wire.

Restore the printer network to factory defaults with an ethernet cable connected, wait for a few moments print yourself a configuration page and check did you get an IP address.
