Hi @Bm73,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP DeskJet 2680 All-In-One Printer isn't responding to wireless print commands from any device and displays a message indicating the printer is blocked, it could be due to several reasons ranging from connectivity issues to printer settings. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Restart the Printer and Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the issue. Turn off your printer, wait a minute, and then turn it back on. Restart your computer and mobile devices as well.

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure there are no error messages on the printer’s display, such as low ink or paper jams.
  • Check if the printer is online. Go to your computer's printer settings, and make sure the printer is set as "online".

Check the Wireless Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Print a Wireless Network Test report or check the network settings on the printer’s display to verify the network settings.
  • Make sure your printer is not too far from the router to avoid connection issues.

Check for Software Updates:

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware updates. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.
  • Update the printer drivers on your PC. Go to HP’s official website, find the drivers for your HP DeskJet 2680, and download the latest version.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Sometimes, stuck print jobs can cause the printer to become unresponsive. Clear the print queue on your computer by going to the printer’s settings, opening the print queue, and cancelling all documents.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor (for Windows):

  • If you are using a Windows PC, download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor, a free tool provided by HP that can diagnose and resolve printing issues.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • Try reconnecting your printer to your Wi-Fi network. Use the Wireless Setup Wizard available on the printer’s control panel to reconnect to the network.

Disable VPN Connections:

  • If you are using a VPN on your computer or mobile device, try disabling it. VPNs can sometimes interfere with the connection to your printer.

Printer Factory Reset:

  • As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. This will erase all settings, including wireless network settings, and may resolve the issue. You can usually find the reset option in the printer’s settings menu.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
