@Leafslash67, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP DeskJet 2700e printer keeps losing its wireless settings and won’t print. Let’s walk through some steps to resolve this issue.

Ensure Printer Firmware is Up to Date

Outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues.

  • Visit the Official HP® Support.
  • Enter your printer model: HP DeskJet 2700e.
  • Download and install the latest firmware for your printer.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi Using HP Smart App

The HP Smart app is the easiest way to manage wireless settings.

  • Download the HP Smart app:
    • Windows 11
    • iOS (iPhone 16 Pro Max)
  • Open the app and click “+” to add your printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Tip: Make sure your phone/PC is on the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to connect to.

Assign a Static IP to the Printer

This prevents the printer from losing its network connection when your router restarts.

  • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer control panel.
  • Note the current IP address.
  • Access your router settings (usually via browser at 192.168.1.1 or similar).
  • Reserve the IP address for your printer’s MAC address.

Reset Network Settings on the Printer

If issues persist, reset the printer’s network settings:

  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer for 5 seconds.
  • Reconnect using the HP Smart app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
