Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Hello,

On rare occasions, my printer would go offline and I would simply reset the printer to make it work again. However, this time, the printer is not turning on at all. I've repeatedly unplugged the cord in the back and into multiple wall units. I noticed the screen blinks for a second but still doesn't turn off. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @campbelo,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing some technical difficulties with your printer. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get it working again.

  • Check Power Source: Ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the printer and a working power outlet. Sometimes cords can become loose or damaged, so try using a different power cord if you have one available.
  • Power Cycle: Since you've already tried unplugging the cord, let's try a more thorough power cycle. Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet, then wait for about 5 minutes. After that, plug the power cord back in and try turning on the printer again.
  • Check for Obstructions: Sometimes, objects or debris can get stuck in the printer's mechanisms, preventing it from turning on properly. Open up the printer's cover and look for any visible obstructions. Be sure to remove any paper jams or foreign objects that you find.
  • Reset the Printer: Many printers have a reset button or sequence that can help resolve various issues. Check your printer's manual or HP website for instructions on how to perform a reset.
  • Test with Different Outlet: If possible, try plugging the printer into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the current outlet.

Hopefully, one of these steps will help resolve the issue and get your printer up and running again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
