Hi,
Generally, with most VPNs, you cannot print to a local network while connected to a VPN Network too, unless the VPN offer VPN tunneling and offers such capabilities of communicating with a local device while connected to a private network too, I suggest checking if you can perform a such and allowed by the organization, moat likely it is not even allowed by the work office IT due to security restrictions..
