Hi @21eg

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That’s definitely frustrating, especially when everything used to work smoothly.

Let’s get your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e back in sync with your iPad and iPhone. Here’s a tailored checklist to tackle the “offline” and “busy” issues:

1. Restart Everything

  • Printer: Power it off, unplug for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Router: Restart it to refresh network connections.
  • iPad/iPhone: Fully power off and restart.

2. Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • Make sure your printer and iOS devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (not a guest network).
  • On the printer, print a Network Configuration Page to confirm connection status.

3. Clear Print Queue

  • On your iPad/iPhone, go to Settings > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and clear any stuck jobs.
  • Toggle Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off and on to refresh connections.

4. Update Firmware via HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app on your iOS device.
  • Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Firmware Update.
  • Install any available updates and restart the printer.

5. Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button + Power button for 10 seconds.
  • This resets the printer’s network settings and allows a fresh connection.

6. Try Printing from Another App or File Type

  • Sometimes a specific document format causes issues. Try printing a simple note or photo to test.

If the printer still shows “busy” or “offline,” let me know:

  • Whether the HP Smart app detects the printer.
  • If the amber warning icon appears next to the printer name on your iOS device.
  • Whether you’ve recently changed your Wi-Fi setup or router.

We’ll get this sorted — you’ve got the persistence, and I’ve got your back. Let’s make that printer behave.
