I had to remove NORD VPN from my computer yesterday as it was stopping my printer from working. After removing the software my HP Printer HP Deskjet 2700e All-in-one Series started to work. Is is not working today my computer states that it is offline although the WiFi Blur Light is on?

Hi @ZTR1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Since your HP DeskJet 2700e All-in-One worked after you removed NordVPN but is now showing as offline again, even though the Wi-Fi light is on, let's first check whether the printer is still connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Could you please confirm the following?

  • Can you print from a mobile phone or another computer connected to the same Wi-Fi network?
  • Is the blue Wi-Fi light solid or blinking?
  • Is your computer connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer? Also, are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
  • Have you completely removed NordVPN, including any related network settings, or is any VPN or security software still active?

In the meantime, try these steps:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug its power cable for 60 seconds. Restart your computer and router as well.
  • Turn the printer back on and wait for it to reconnect to Wi-Fi.
  • On your computer, open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners in Windows 11, or Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners in Windows 10. Select your HP DeskJet 2700e and open its print queue. If Use Printer Offline is enabled, disable it.
  • If the printer remains offline, check whether it can print from the HP app on your computer or phone.

The blue Wi-Fi light alone doesn't confirm that the printer is communicating properly with your computer.

Your answers above will help us identify whether this is a Wi-Fi connection issue or a problem with the computer's printer configuration.
