Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Just randomly after no previous issues the printer refused to print to order from the laptop Comes up as offline.. I have uninstalled, reset via app, unplugged printer laptop and router, restored laptop to an earlier date and numerous other suggestions. However it works via my phone so I know its not the printer being defunct. Occasionally when doing the above it will spew out a test page. Need to solve it to do my work.

What else to do?

@SueG23, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to print from your Win PC. To assist you better,

  • Are you using an HP Envy 5530 printer?
  • Are you using the HP Smart app to print?

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

 

  • Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the PC
  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
