Hi @Lilly1928 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY 6432e All-In-One Printer is showing as offline after switching from Instant Ink to store-bought HP cartridges, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions:
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure that the store-bought HP cartridges are installed correctly. Remove them and reinsert them to make sure they are securely in place.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can visit the official HP website to download and install the most up-to-date drivers for your printer model.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve communication issues.
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer. If you are using a USB connection, make sure the USB cable is securely plugged in. If you are using a wireless connection, check the wireless settings on both the printer and the computer.
Printer Status in Windows 11:
- Open the Settings app on your Windows 11 computer.
- Go to "Devices" and then select "Printers & scanners."
- Find your HP ENVY 6432e printer in the list. If it shows as offline, select it and click on "Open queue." Check for any paused or pending print jobs.
Set as Default Printer:
- Make sure your HP ENVY 6432e is set as the default printer. Right-click on the printer in the "Printers & scanners" settings and choose "Set as default."
Check Ink Levels:
- Verify that the store-bought cartridges have sufficient ink levels. Some printers may go offline if the ink levels are too low.
Reset the Printer:
- Consult your printer's manual or visit the HP support website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset or a hard reset on your printer.
Reinstall Printer Software:
- Uninstall the printer software from your computer and reinstall it using the latest software downloaded from the official HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
