@Plug2blueboy135, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've changed your Wi-Fi network and need to reconnect your printer, follow these steps to get it working again:
1. Turn on your printer and make sure it is in a ready state.
2. Restore Network Settings:
For printers with a touchscreen: Go to Setup > Network Setup or Settings > Restore Network Settings.
For printers without a touchscreen: Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button until the power light blinks.
3. Connect to Wi-Fi:
Using WPS: Press the WPS button on your router, then press and hold the Wireless button on your printer until the wireless light starts blinking. Wait for the connection to establish.
Using HP Smart App: Download the HP Smart app on your device, open it, and follow the prompts to add your printer and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.

@Plug2blueboy135, thanks for the update. Since the printer is still offline, let’s try a few more steps to narrow down the issue:
Check Printer’s Wireless Light
- Is the wireless light on the printer solid blue (connected) or blinking/off (not connected)?
- If it’s not solid, the printer is not connected to the network.
Confirm Network Connection
- Make sure your device (PC/phone) is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you’re trying to connect the printer to.
- If your router has dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz), try connecting the printer to the 2.4GHz band- some printers don’t support 5GHz.
Use HP Smart App’s Diagnose & Fix
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Select your printer > go to Settings or Printer Reports > tap Diagnose & Fix.
- This tool can automatically detect and resolve common connectivity issues.
Assign a Static IP (Advanced)
If the printer keeps dropping off the network, assigning a static IP can help:
- Find the printer’s IP address via the HP Smart app or printer’s control panel.
- Log into your router settings and assign that IP as static.
- You can also manually set the IP on the printer via its control panel (if available).
Reinstall Printer Drivers
- On your PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Remove the printer, then reinstall it using the HP Smart app or from HP official support site.
I hope this helps!
