we recently had the Wi-Fi router and modem switched out at her house. The network name and password is the same, but my printer now will not connect. I have the 2700 all in one. I have tried using the smart app. I have tried using the web browser tab, and nothing. Can somebody help me?

@Rubatoross, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Reconnecting HP 2700 All-In-One Printer to Wi-Fi!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When you switch out your Wi-Fi router or modem, even if the network name (SSID) and password remain the same, your printer might still need to reconnect. Here's a comprehensive guide to reconnecting your HP 2700 All-In-One printer to your Wi-Fi network:

Step 1: Use the HP Smart App

Reset the Wireless Connection on Printer:

  • Make sure the printer is turned on.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button (or Wireless and Cancel button simultaneously) on the printer control panel for about 3-5 seconds. The Wireless light should start blinking, indicating that the printer is in setup mode.

Connect Using HP Smart App:

  • Download: Ensure you have the HP Smart app installed on your mobile device or computer.
  • Open the HP Smart App: Launch the HP Smart app.
  • Add Printer:
    • Click on the plus icon (+) to add a new printer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer.
    • The app should detect the printer in setup mode and guide you through connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 2: Use HP Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Find Printer's IP Address:

  • If possible, print a Network Configuration Page from the printer's control panel to find the current IP address.
  • Alternatively, you might be able to find the IP address from your router's attached devices list.

Access EWS:

  • Open a web browser and type the printer's IP address into the address bar.
  • Press Enter to access the HP Embedded Web Server.

Configure Network Settings:

  • Navigate to the Network or Wireless settings tab.
  • Enter your Wi-Fi network details (SSID and password).
  • Save the settings and restart the printer if required.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
