Printer quit working with HPE print. HP Smart App on computer shows printer correctly, but online shows no printers registered to my account. Did factory reset as suggested and now have claim code but can't find a way to add the printer so I can change the printer email address and default address with claim code does not work. How can I add this printer to my account so that I can change the email address and get this working again?

Hi @PLS1966,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're having trouble adding your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-In-One Printer to your HP Smart account, you can try the following steps.
Verify Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. Check the Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection and make sure it is stable.
Update HP Smart App: Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your computer or mobile device. Outdated versions may not have the latest features or bug fixes.
Retry Adding Printer: After performing the factory reset on your printer, try adding it to your HP Smart account again. Follow these general steps:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select the "+" or "Add Printer" option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the claim code when prompted.
Use the HP Smart Website: If the app is not working, try adding your printer through the HP Smart website:
- Open your web browser and go to the HP Smart website.
- Sign in with your HP account.
- Look for an option to add a new printer and follow the prompts.
Printer Email Address: If you need to change the printer's email address, you might find this option within the printer settings on the printer itself or through the HP Smart app/website. Look for settings related to "ePrint" or "Web Services" on the printer's control panel.
Remember to double-check the documentation that came with your printer or visit the HP support website for specific instructions related to your printer model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
