Hi @Beanzalo,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with printer offline issues can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem with your HP Envy Pro 6455.
- Check Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, make sure it's connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Restart Devices: Try restarting both your printer and your computer. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.
- Printer Status: Check the printer control panel or display to see if there are any error messages or indicators suggesting what the problem might be.
- Printer Software: Make sure that the printer software/drivers on your computer are up-to-date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
- Printer Settings: Access the printer settings on your computer and ensure that the printer is set as the default printer and that it's not set to "Use Printer Offline."
- Printer Queue: Check the printer queue on your computer to see if there are any pending print jobs that might be causing the offline status. Clear any stuck print jobs.
- Network Troubleshooting: If your printer is connected via Wi-Fi, check your router settings to ensure that it's not blocking the printer's connection. You may also try restarting your router.
- Firewall/Antivirus: Sometimes, security software can interfere with the printer connection. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software and see if the printer comes back online.
- IP Address: If your printer is connected via a static IP address, make sure the IP address hasn't changed. If it has, update the printer settings on your computer accordingly.
- HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP provides a free diagnostic tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor, which can help identify and resolve printing problems. You can download it from the HP website and run it to see if it can fix the offline issue.
- Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can try performing a factory reset on your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
