The printer is printing correctly but requires me to press the "OK" button on it's failure to report to HP web services.
I have seen some suggestions and tried restarting the printer but the problem remains.

Hi @JayRu ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with . Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
May I know
1. Since when are you facing this issue
2. Have you made any changes on your printer post that this issue raised and have you observed any light blinking on the display or error message
If your HP OfficeJet 5742 is having trouble reporting to HP web services and requires you to press the "OK" button, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware. Check the HP website for firmware updates specific to your printer model. Updating the firmware can often resolve connectivity issues.
Network Connection: Verify that your printer is connected to the internet and that the network settings are configured correctly. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable.
Restart the Router: Sometimes, router issues can affect the communication between the printer and web services. Try restarting your router and see if that resolves the problem.
Check Web Services Settings: Ensure that Web Services is enabled on your printer. You can usually find this option in the printer settings menu. If it's disabled, enable it and check if the problem persists.
Network Configuration Page: Print a network configuration page from the printer. This page typically includes information about the printer's network settings. Check if the IP address and other network settings are correct.
HP Print and Scan Doctor: Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, a diagnostic tool provided by HP. It can automatically troubleshoot and fix printing and scanning problems.
Reset Printer: If all else fails, you can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. This should be done as a last resort because it will erase any custom settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
