Good day.

I want to reset my factory setting  to reinstall the Wi-Fi but the printer is asking for a username and password.

Hi @Sparks91,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Accessing the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

To reset the settings, you typically need to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of the printer.

Connect the Printer to Your Network:

  • Ensure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 9110b is connected to the same network as your computer.

Find Printer's IP Address:

  • On the printer control panel, navigate to the Network settings menu.
  • Print a Network Configuration Page to find the IP address, or view it directly on the printer's control panel.

Open Web Browser:

  • Enter the IP address of the printer in the web browser's address bar and press Enter.

2. Resetting to Factory Settings via EWS

If prompted for a username and password, try the following:

Default Credentials:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: admin (or leave it blank if no password was set)

Reset Credentials:

  • If default credentials don’t work, you may need to perform a semi-full reset, which clears all settings (including username and password) to default.

3. Performing a Semi-Full Reset

If accessing EWS fails, performing a semi-full reset directly on the printer can help:

Power Off the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.

Disconnect Power:

  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for about 30 seconds.

Reconnect Power:

  • Plug the power cord back in while holding down the # and 6 buttons on the printer.
  • Continue holding these buttons as the printer powers on and displays a reset message.

Release Buttons:

  • Release the # and 6 buttons once the reset message is displayed.

I hope this helps.
