Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Hi Praveen, thanks for your reply, apologies for not responding sooner I've been away. Been trying to sort the printer today, I turned off the other mesh nodes leaving just the primary (router) on thinking that might help but still won't connect to WiFi.  Before I went away I had it connected to PC with a network cable and it also connected by WiFi for a short while before disconnecting again.

When you say. Set manual IP, and touch the WiFi button on printer, do you mean to print a status report? If so that's what I've done, there is what looks like an IP address under Connectivity Settings, URL: http://192.168.223.1 is that what you mean?

The rest of your advice had lost me a bit.

If I was able to connect to the printer again by network cable, could I set a static IP using my mesh router settings on the Tenda Nova app? Would that then work over wireless?

Regards

Hi@Bob99911,

Try using a phone hotspot with 2.4 WIFI configuration is getting connected, If still its  Its hardware is faulty, not a software issue.

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.

Thanks, don't have access to hotspot.  Tried everything today, will take it to family house and try it there. If it won't connect them is hardware fault. It's ok connected by network cable, but I need WiFi. Out of warranty!

Regards

Thanks,  if it connects to family members WiFi then I shall put it up for sale and buy a different brand, if it doesn't then it's destined for the recycling. Regards.

Hi, it's been a while sorry but I did not come back to the forum so did not see you reply of which I am grateful.  ( I do have the email me if someone replies but doesn't work). We don use the printer that often and have used it connected by cable which is not ideal.

HP did not get back to me.

Still no luck connecting to WiFi, blue light just keeps flashing.

I tried getting my WiFi settings by connecting USB but didn't work.

Is got to be something to do with the Tenda MW12 Whole home mesh system. Their customer service is non existent! They are even suspended from Twitter.

I give up!

Regards Bob
