HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer

I brought my computer to work from home. I am not able to connect it to the private internet connection here. Now I cannot print. How do reset my printer to print without Instant Ink and without internet, just as a regular printer? It was working using the usb chord for a couple weeks and then just stopped.

Hi @JessieKT,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To use your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer without an internet connection and without Instant Ink, follow these steps.

Disconnect from the Network:

  • Ensure your printer is not connected to any network. You can do this by turning off Wi-Fi on the printer.

Use USB Connection:

  • Ensure the USB cable is properly connected between the printer and your computer. Sometimes, unplugging and replugging the USB cable can help re-establish the connection.

Reset the Printer’s Network Settings:

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup (gear icon).
  • Select Network.
  • Choose Restore Network Settings to clear any network configurations.

Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Set Up as a Local Printer:

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (or Printers & Scanners in Windows 10/11).
  • Click on Add a printer.
  • Choose The printer that I want isn't listed.
  • Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and click Next.
  • Choose the USB port and follow the prompts to add your printer. Ensure you have the correct driver installed.

Check Printer Software:

  • If the printer software installed on your computer requires an internet connection to function, you might need to reinstall or update it. Download the latest driver from HP’s support website using a different device if needed.

By following these steps, you should be able to use your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 as a standard USB printer without needing an internet connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
