Wired connection fine. Connected to old wireless router (AT&T) fine, but that network is now deactivated. Will not connect to new wireless router (Xfinity model XB8-T). Currently connecting 50 ft cable to router whenever I want to print.
Already tried:
- adding printer MAC address to router's list of permitted devices, on all three bands (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, and 6Ghz),
- reboot router and printer,
- connecting with manual (static) IP address,
- calling a friend (who is a network tech with 30 yrs exp running networks for schools, police dept, and fed gov),
- calling my ISP (Xfinity), who troubleshot and told me it's the printer, not their router or its settings.
Have NOT tried calling a teenager yet. : )

Found the issue, with the help from an Xfinity forum thread. My XB8 router was by default set to WPA3 security mode, but the HP printer uses WPA2. So, using the Xfinity smartphone app, I changed that setting by :
1. Open app, and press "Connect".
2. Select your network name.
3. At bottom, press "Edit WiFi settings".
4. Under "Security Mode", press drop-down arrow, and select WPA2.
5. At bottom, press "Save".
The printer was then able to connect to my new network.
Hallelujah !!

I have also tried:
- downloading installing latest software / driver from HP
- downloading & installing latest firmware for this model, but installation did not succeed. I could not select my printer, the only printer listed, because it wouldn't let me check the box, which would have enabled the "Update" button. This probably means the printer already has the latest firmware.
